You have two cats and a dog? What kind of hedonistic deviant household are you running here?

Two cats, three dogs, and a horse. We’re animal people.

It’s not insulation, it’s so he doesn’t get shot. It’s white tail deer hunting season around here, and he’s an orange dog with a white tail.

Good on you for protecting him.
Our beagle recently wore the cone of shame, and our shins, furniture and door trim are happy it’s gone now. Well...the dog’s happy too.

Good to protect the dog, but I can’t help feeling that if someone is willing to shoot at something just because it kind of looks like a deer, they probably shouldn’t have a gun (or a bow, etc). Be sure of your target and what is beyond it and all that.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course....
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.
If we had land, we would probably have a horse. I miss riding.

Yes, that is the ideal. But there are numerous instances of hunters shooting dogs, horses, people... the bar to carrying a rifle in the woods in exceptionally low.
